Saluton, Succotash the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast listeners!
Korey was the host of The Evil Teddy Bear Podcast for many years and over a hundred episodes. I was even a guest on his show in Epi67, entitled "Fights Like Tyson", back in 2013. (Click the link in this epi's blog entry on on our http://SuccotashShow.com homesite if you want to hear what I sounded like as a Boy Podcaster…)
The ETBP went defunct last year but recently Korey has come back on the soundcasting scene with the appropriately titled The Korey Epps Show. We'll be discussing that and other things so stay tuned, won't you? (Spoiler Alert: We experienced technical problems toward the end of our chat so had to cut our conversation a bit short more suddenly than intended…)
We've got our Burst o' Durst from political comedian and social commentator Will Durst in which In which our intrepid correspondent goes slightly mad and babbles on and on about the shady, depraved and transgressive administration.
I'd like to bring YOUR attention to a special event that Mr. Durst brought to MY attention. It's called "Comedy Celebration Day". They had their first one back in 1981 and this year - in 2018 for you time travelers - , it's being held on September 16th from Noon to 5pm. It features 40 comics, it's in San Fransisco in Golden Gate Park's newly named Robin Williams Meadow... and it's free to attend. They recently reached their gofundme goal but you can still see the promo for the event (and continue to donate!) at https://www.gofundme.com/comedy-day-2018
I've also got another selection of TrumPoetry from our almost-brand-new sponsor TrumPoetry.com...
Thank you for spending your time with us for the hour or so which this installment ate up. I appreciate it a great deal. If you like what you're hearing I'd like to invite you to tell people about us here at Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. It doesn't cost you more than a moment or two of your time to leap over to our page in the Apple Podcasts section, search for Succotash Show, and give us a 5-star rating and a tasty little review. Sharing is, after all, caring...and it's the most direct way to honor our request that you please Pass The Succotash!

Saluton! Estas mi, your host...Tyson Saner. Welcome to Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast. I'm so glad you chose to join me for this clips episode featuring soundcasts that are chock full of current events...
Or at least they were current events when they were being commented on by people in the more-or-less recent past. One might recall some of the topics and/or events discussed ahead in the program...others may not.
I thank you for listening either way.
Apart from clips, we have a single Burst O' Durst from raging moderate Will Durst. AND we've got some premium advertising coming your way. Henderson's Pants will delight us with a particularly classy commercial later in the program. We also unveil a new sponsor: TrumPoetry.com, featuring the daily news…in rhyme!
As I mentioned before, I've got clips and helping me introduce them is my co-host for Anti Social Show and the guest for Epi 173 of this very program, Hunter Block! Since you can't hear him here, those clips are from soundcasts SModcast, Let's Get Shitty Show, This Past Weekend, Movie Sign With The Mads, Salty Language, and This Or That.
Let's get to the clippage, shall we?
This Past Weekend
Movie Signs with The Mads
This Or That
Let's Get Shitty Show
Well, that's about the size of it. This episode is posting at a pivotal point in my personal life so it has a greater potential for me to remember it if I ever were to have one of those "I wonder what I was doing when..." moments in my future.
I likely will have one of those moments because I'm extremely self-absorbed. "That's not likely to change unless I really want it" is a thing that I would say if I were a licensed therapist... but I'm not.
Anyway, I hope your listening experience was pleasurable. I like to think that if you were to enjoy it enough you might take a moment to subscribe to us on iTunes or perhaps give us a five-star rating and a review. That sort of thing lets the powers that be know that you would like the program to stay around... and if enough people do that sort of thing... I might find out about it... That would be most triumphant as the kids used to say when I was one of those... although I was never Bill OR Ted...
Back to the subscribing, the rating, the sharing us with others... that's how you show us love and when you do that, I say "I love you, too" and, also, thank you for doing that thing I gently urge you to do at the close of every episode and that is to Please, Pass The Succotash...
