Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, was launched 12 years ago (April, 2011) with the idea of promoting comedy soundcasts in what was then a marketplace still trying to find its way. By featuring short clips of shows being produced by funny folks both known and unknown, we like to feel that we maybe had a little tiny, eeny weeny, itsy bitsy bit to do with helping to ignite the torch of soundcasts across the globe! (But then we've always had a rather high opinion of ourselves...)

Original show host and executive producer Marc Hershon, along with co-host Tyson Saner, booth announcer Bill Heywatt, engineer/producer Joe Paulino, musical director Scott Carvey, and booth assistant Kenny Durgis have been keeping the flame alive o'er these many years.

Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner, your host for this week's installment of Succotash Shut-In: The Soundcast Stimulus Package. Last week was Episode 225 and host Marc Hershon brought you a pentalogy of soundcast spookiness to hit the Halloween theme in a big way. The soundcasts in question were Ghoul Intentions, Spoop Hour, The Boogie Monster, The Paranormal Life, and a clip uploaded to us of a soundcast called Dead Waves. This episode is going to be SOMEWHAT Halloween-themed… I'll try to explain how as we go. I've got clips from Candy Dinner with Matt and Ify because that's what you do immediately after trick or treating…you have a candy dinner…in my dreams where I never have a tummy ache, Blood and Black Rum Podcast - A Cult Film / Horror Podcast that is its entire title… I think that choice is self-explanatory, and Spanish Aqui Presents…because Hispanic Heritage Month was Tuesday, September 15th, to Thursday, October 15th, this 2020th year….and Dios De Los Muertos happens before my next episode of "Succotash Shut-In"…so I thought it might be nice to touch on that.

Guests are Gloria Calderon Kellett & Tanya Saracho in an episode clipped from the first day of Autumn of this year. In this clip, the group discussed whether or not incorporating COVID-19 into future media projects is appropriate…and how tragedy inspires and has inspired pop culture.

Blood and Black Rum Podcast - A Cult Film / Horror Podcast 
This is a biweekly podcast from Ryne at Cultsploitation.com and his friend Chris Martin. From their website: "We're talking everything from niche horror genre fare to classic films to video games and comic books. We're an eclectic duo - and that's probably due to the drinking we do while recording. We take breaks along the way to talk about the best beer and liquor we've had that week." Our featured clip comes from March 13th of this year, Episode 163: The St. Patty's Day Special AKA "Leprachaun 5: Leprechaun in the Hood". Side Note: They are drinking Goose Island's Lost Palate IPA this episode.

And there's your last episode before "Super Tuesday". Tuesdays are the show's release date so there will be one dropping on that day and it will be hosted and assembled by Marc Hershon.
