Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner. Welcome to Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, Episode 267, I will be your host thru a small selection of soundcast clips for which to theoretically make you interested in hearing the full episode…or at least give you an idea of what to expect on whichever soundcast we happen to clip…that's the basic idea. Last week on Epi266 my co-host and every-other-show-host Marc Hershon brought his "A" game with a show full of "B"s. Not the buzzy things that pollinate flowers and make honey and such but many things that start with the letter "B" — including the return of one of my favorite segments "Boozin' with Bill" with our very own Bill Heywatt, and clips from the soundcasts Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast, The Bitch Bible, Breaking Bread with Tom Papa, and Brittlestar's Really Great Podcast.…There's even a small chat with friend of Succotash and longtime soundcaster Chris Mancini…who does not seem to have a single "B" in his name…but other than that little inconsistency, the episode and all of the content contained within it is top-notch. Check it out if you should be interested in doing so.
This week, I've got clips from the
soundcasts Screams and Moans, The Goods From The
Woods, and Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster.
There's also a classic Henderson's Pants advert for their patented
Pain Pants kicking around somewhere in the rotation so y'all have
got that to look forward to as well. (Real sponsors take note, we
are in the market for one or more of you…as we have been for 10+
years.) Anyway, thank you for listening…
CLIPS
Screams and Moans
The
podcast about movies and sex but not together because that would be
porn. Our clips is from February of this year (2021) - the episode
entitled "Second Time is Better". Friends
of Succotash abound here, in cluding
host Megan Pentecost and her
guest, Jason "Jabs" McNamara
from The Dhead Factor and Boganwood
soundcasts. Our clip is them getting into the movie The Event
Horizon.
The Goods from the Woods
Hosts Rivers
Langley, Pat Reilly, and
Mr. Goodnight head off on their
intrepid aural expedition through the world of oft-forgotten pop
culture, featuring personal tales and recollections on the theme
from the hosts and their special weekly guests. Reportedly, The
Goods from the Woods will leave you enlightened and
enraptured. Also, you will laugh. In this clip from long-ago 2013,
the boys welcome yet another friend
of Succotash Travis Clark (now a soundcast
producer but then co-host of Tiny Odd Conversations
with his wife Brandi
Clark.
Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster
Comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster invite special guests
into their magical restaurant to each choose their favourite
starter, main course, side dish, dessert and drink. In this special
edition we clipped, from just this past June, the special of
the day is Dan Aykroyd
of SNL, Blues Brothers,
and Ghostbusters fame. He dropped into promote his
Crystal Head vodka.
And there's what's in store. I do hope you find something enjoyable during the time you spend listening to it. I try to find find things that are both entertaining and informative for you…or at least one of those things when possible. It's all as subjective as comedy but I still try.
Next week for Epi268, Marc Hershon will have something for you, and, presumably, I will have something for you in two weeks. Until then, if you are looking for more content to listen to, you can check out the show archive at www.succotashshow.com, you can check out Anti Social Show, a soundcast I host with Hunter Block on Soundcloud and at www.tysonsaner.com…and if you like gaming content there's plenty of that on my YouTube channel which is under my name - Tyson Saner - as well as being conveniently linked at my website along with a few other things.
I am also available to guest on your soundcast so contact me if you are desperate for either content or human contact.
Until show #269, be decent to each other, mask up to protect the unvaccinated, and if anyone asks if you've heard anything interesting lately won't you Please…Pass The Succotash?
